Having relocated from Lancashire last year, silversmith Julia set up her workshop and gallery at the Maws. She beats silver wire into organic shapes, such as stylised daisies and simplified butterflies, to create her distinctive hammered jewellery. She often combines these forms with freshwater pearls, using the irregular characteristics of the stones to compliment her unique style.

As well as displaying Julia’s creations, which are made on site, the gallery also exhibits the work of other local artists.

Craftsman Robert Foster started his business, simply called “Sundials”, in 1986 in Ditton Priors near Bridgnorth and in 2004 relocated his workshop and showroom to Maws Craft Centre.  "I was taken by the simplicity of the sundial and I love working with bands of metal creating the spherical shaped dial or armillary” says Robert. Now he designs and makes various types of sundials, including armillaries and horizontal dials, which are perfect for the garden and make stunning focal points, and wall dials, many of them based on 18th century timepieces or Victorian designs.
